Set-ups + Servicing
A professional set up brings the very best out of any instrument.
Using industry data and specifications, I am able to improve playability of your instrument to suit your particular needs.
Set ups and services range from a simple string change (re-stringing a guitar improves the tone, intonation and ease of playing it) to more comprehensive fret dressing, neck adjustment and detailed cleaning and finishing.
Repairs + Refurbishments
Snapped headstocks, bridges detaching, broken output sockets, frets falling out of fretboards! .
All of the above are sent to stop our enjoyment of guitar playing. I can get your instrument back to playing health, cost effectively and within a reasonable timeframe for you.
Repairs and refurbishments always benefit from a very thorough assessment (with tea/coffee and biscuits) at my workshop so we can chat through the work processes and I can show you the tools, environment and work in progress.
I can also collect instruments from you if that’s more convenient.
Upgrades + Customisations
So many options!
High output pick ups, fine tuning bridge saddles, handmade acoustic saddles, high spec machine (tuning) heads, stainless steel fret wire.
All of these “add ons” can improve tone, playability and even life expectancy of your instrument. Customising can also be adaptions to standard guitars when players have particular physical requirements.
My aim with this work is to make you pick up your guitar more frequently because it feels more part of you!
